Predator's location in Fortnite explained

If you want to battle the Predator in Fortnite, then you need to head to the Stealthy Stronghold in the northern part of the Fortnite map.

The location of the Stealthy Stronghold in Fortnite.

The Stealthy Stronghold is near the lighthouse, meaning that it's north of Pleasant Park and to the east of Coral Castle. It's a good idea to land on either the wall surrounding the stronghold or just within the walls, because it will help you keep an eye out for other players in this small area.

Once you're securely in the Stealthy Stronghold, don't expect to find the Predator easily. It has a number of abilities that will help it evade you and, if you're not properly prepared, it can easily kill you.

The Predator is a roaming boss, so it can be in any part of the Stealthy Stronghold. Since this is quite a large area, we suggest that you begin near the Predator's ship, which is in the northern part of the stronghold, and then circle around the bottom of the middle hill. If you haven't encountered the Predator by then, head up the hill and into the ruins.

It's also a good idea to sneak towards any gunfire that you might hear, because it could be another player battling the Predator. Just make sure you're not spotted!

How to defeat Predator in Fortnite

The Predator is one of the hardest bosses that has appeared in Fortnite so far thanks to its special abilities and large amount of health.

The Predator's main attack is a series of claw swipes and, if you get caught in them, you'll quickly lose a lot of health. It's a good idea to keep some distance between you and the Predator to help avoid these attacks.

What really makes the Predator a difficult boss to defeat, however, is that it's actually quite hard to find thanks to its cloaking ability.

While you will be able to see a faint outline of the Predator's body if you're close enough, you can still easily miss the alien if you're not paying enough attention. It's a good idea to listen to the music as, when the Predator's nearby, you will notice a slight change.

You can see the Predator when cloaked if you're close enough.

The Predator will also turn its cloaking off and on at certain moments, making it easier for you to attack it. When the Predator does cloak, be ready for it to run to another part of the stronghold; use this break in the fight to heal or reload your weapon, while tracking the Predator down.

Finally, the Predator also runs faster than regular Fortnite characters and can jump higher. This means that the Predator is excellent at running away from your attacks and vanishing into the undergrowth of the stronghold.

Don't forget to keep an eye out for other players as you chase after the Predator!

We recommend fighting him in Squads, because if you or one of your teammates kills the Predator, then that victory will count for the entire squad - while you didn't deal the death blow, you do reap the rewards.

If you'd prefer you tackle the Predator alone, however, then we suggest putting your stealth abilities to the test and swooping in after he's already been dealt a substantial amount of damage by other players. This will, hopefully, ensure that you're the one to finally kill the Predator and unlock the skin.

Let other players attack the Predator.

Either way, before you engage in combat with the Predator, you'll want to ensure that you've gathered some healing items, buffed up your shield and gathered a couple of higher level weapons.

There's a good number of chests within the stronghold.

We suggest using quick firing weapons, such as an assault rifle, because it will ensure you cause as much as possible before the Predator disappears back into the jungle.

It's also a good idea to have a selection of weapons, so that you can switch out when your current one needs reloading. Again this will allow you to quickly damage the Predator and you can reload the weapons when you're hunting him down again.

Remember - the Predator is a tough boss to defeat, so don't be surprised if it takes you a good number of attempts. Once you've defeated it though, you'll unlock the Predator skin and, by visiting the Predator's apartment while wearing it, you can unlock another reward.
