Fortnite - Skydive through floating rings explained

How to skydive through rings in Fortnite.

Skydiving through floating rings is one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 6 rewards. Note you'll need to be a Battle Pass holder in order to undertake this challenge.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include the Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection and Eren Jaeger skin. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

How skydiving through floating rings works

For the Week 7 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Skydive through floating Rings (20 total, 5 Battle Stars)

If you're at all familiar with Fortnite, you'll know you'll start on a Battlebus flying over the map, which allows you to choose where you jump out and land to begin the match.

As part of this challenge, the game has added floating rings throughout the sky. Fly through a total of 20 of these, and the reward is yours.

Since you cannot restart a dive, then multiple dives - and thereful multiple matches - are required to complete the challenge.

You'll notice there are two colours - purple and blue - indicating two elevations. Purple is higher, while blue is lower, allowing you to see at a glance whether you can line up two in a single dive.

While the first time this challenge rolled around in Season 3 was a little bugged, this time you'll instantly be told when you have successfully travelled through a ring. But if you're struggling, try flying as close to the centre of each ring as possible to increase the chances of them counting.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is here and with it comes a new selection of Battle Pass skins! Take a look at the upcoming Eren Jaeger skin too! Don't forget to complete the new challenges, including winning arcade games, knocking back players with the Kinetic Blade, shooting targets while on a Grind Rail and restoring health or shields on a Grind Rail. Meanwhile, learn what the best weapons are, new map changes, how to get XP fast, use the best PC settings, earn the Victory Umbrella and earn a Victory Crown.

Though you need to fly through a total of 20 rings, thankfully there are many more across the map, but thankfully it's very easy to see them across the map.

As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches (you cannot enter the map without other players).

When you are done, there are plenty of other Challenges - so keep playing!
