Fortnite - Metal Bridge, Three Billboards and a Crashed Bus location explained

Confused by Fortnite's Metal Bridge, Three Billboards and a Crashed Bus instruction? Here's how it works.

Working out where to search between the Metal Bridge, Three Billboards and a Crashed Bus is one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 3 rewards. Note you'll need to be a Battle Pass holder in order to undertake this challenge.

If you're just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include the Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection and Eren Jaeger skin. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

What does Search between a Metal Bridge, Three Billboards and a Crashed Bus in Fortnite mean?

For the Week 6 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Search between a Metal Bridge, Three Billboards and a Crashed Bus (1 total, 10 Battle Stars)

Another on the list that week includes searching for Mountain Peak locations.

This means you must find these objects on the map, and look between them until you find something. But what?

Turns out this is a secret treasure. Once you find the location it will appear, then all you have to do is collect it. Doing so will complete the challenge.

As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches (you cannot enter the map without other players), so you'll have to avoid combat encounters as you attempt to find each location.

Note you need to complete the match in order for the challenge to be finished - quitting the match as soon as you collect it won't work.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is here! It brings a free Lego Insider skin and redemption codes with it, along with a new Victory Umbrella. We've also got pages on new features like Medallions, Weapon Mods, and how to complete a Train Heist. Meanwhile, learn what the best weapons are in the current season, how to get XP fast, and what the best PC settings are to help earn a Victory Crown.

Metal Bridge, Three Billboards and a Crashed Bus location

The specific location the game is referring to in the southern half of the map, between Shifty Shafts and Salty Springs.

You specifically want to go to more-or-less in the middle of quadrant E7, where there is a rounded hill there. Arriving by air is easiest. Here's where you'll be aiming for when approaching from the east - note the bridge off to the left (south) for reference.

When you arrive, there is a patch of grass missing in the middle. Get close to it, and the treasure will spawn.

Simply collect it with the on-screen button prompt and the treasure will be yours.

Again, you'll need to go on and finish the match in order for this challenge to register as completed, so don't quit out just yet - continue playing!
