Fortnite - Dusty Divot treasure map location

Where to find the treasure map in Dusty Divot and the reward it leads to in Fortnite.

Finding the Dusty Divot treasure map location is the objective of one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 5 rewards.

Note you'll need to be a Battle Pass holder in order to undertake this challenge.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include the Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection and Eren Jaeger skin. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

How the Dusty Divot treasure map works

For the Week 7 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Follow the treasure map found in Dusty Divot (1 total, 10 Battle Stars)

Another challenge this week is the several Fortnite Search a Chest Stages, plus the task of visiting Fortnite Named Locations, too

.

Dusty Divot hides a map that paves the way to a hidden treasure. Note only those with the Battle Pass will be able to see it, and on the map features a diagram of where the treasure can be found.

However, you can skip this first step and go straight to the treasure location - as explained later on this page - if you prefer to do so.

As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches - you cannot enter the map without other players - so you'll have to avoid combat encounters as you attempt to find each location.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is here! It brings a free Lego Insider skin and redemption codes with it, along with a new Victory Umbrella. We've also got pages on new features like Medallions, Weapon Mods, and how to complete a Train Heist. Meanwhile, learn what the best weapons are in the current season, how to get XP fast, and what the best PC settings are to help earn a Victory Crown.

Dusty Divot treasure map location

Dusty Divot is located in the rough centre of the map - between Tilted Towers and Retail Row. However, you don't need to go there at all to pick up the treasure - just follow the instructions below.

The destination you're aiming for is really close too - it's just north-west of Dusty Divot itself, in the centre of the map.

Specifically, you'll want to visit the cluster of three trees just north and downhill of the Stone Head, on the boundary line between quadrant F4 and F5.

The easiest way to get there is by air, so set your sights on it from the Battle Bus, and glide in.

When you land, run around until the Treasure appears. It's in the dirt patch in the middle of the three trees. When it does appear, use the button prompt to collect it.

In our experience, this is a relatively busy treasure map spot, likely because the nearby Tilted Towers is already one of the most popular starting locations, although it should die down as time goes by after the challenge has gone live. Do your best to quickly get in and out again, either way.

If you're struggling, you can always build to create stairs and climb up later in the match when people have dispersed, or even wait until a future week when most people have moved on to other Challenges.

Note you need to complete the match in order for the challenge to be finished. Quitting the match as soon as you collect it won't work, so make sure you keep going.

Already done? There are plenty of other Challenges to take on this week - including the four Fortnite Search a Chest Stages and the challenge to visit Named Locations - so keep playing!
