The Pokémon Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally is all about getting ready for the upcoming Go Tour: Johto event.

Throughout this event, you'll be able to complete the Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally timed research quest and collect a selection of event-exclusive field research tasks.

Best of all, this event sees the release of Hisuian Electrode in Pokémon Go, which means you start evolving any Hisuian Voltorbs you've caught.

'Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally' quest steps in Pokémon Go

The 'Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally' is the timed research quest for the Poké Ball Prep Rally event in Pokémon Go.

Since this is a timed research quest, you must complete it before the event ends on Friday, 25th February or else you'll miss out on the reward.

Throughout the Pokémon Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally you'll be able to collect event-exclusive field research tasks by spinning PokéStops. These tasks can be saved in your field research collection and completed whenever you like.

  • Catch 2 Voltorb reward - 3 Poké Balls
  • Make 5 Nice Throws reward - 10 Poké Balls
  • Make 3 Great Throws reward - 5 Great Balls
  • Make an Excellent Throw reward - 3 Ultra Balls
  • Make 3 Nice Curveball Throws in a row reward - 3 Pinap Berries
  • Make 4 Great Curveball Throws in a row reward - 1 Silver Pinap Berry

The Pokémon Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally sees the release of Hisuian Electrode into the game. With the first appearance of Hisuian Voltorb a couple of weeks ago, this means you can add another Hisui variant to your Pokédex.

Don't worry if you haven't caught a Hisuian Voltorb yet, because it will be appearing more frequently in the wild alongside the following Pokémon:

Pokémon Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally dates and times explained

The Pokémon Go Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally event is running from Friday, 18th February till Friday, 25th February at 8pm (local time).

Make sure you complete the timed research quest before this deadline, so you can benefit from all the rewards just in time for the Pokémon Go Tour: Johto event! This is also the perfect time to catch a Hisui Voltorb if you haven't done so already.
