LEGO Jones takes top slot from MGS4

Alone in the Dark at three.

LEGO Indiana Jones has retaken the UK number one spot from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots while Alone in the Dark has debuted at third position in the All-Formats countdown.

According to sales compiler Chart-Track, the Jones/Snake face-off was "a close fought encounter" but in the end the bricks prevailed thanks to, well, the mileage rather than the years: its sales only fell by 29 percent compared to MGS4's 59 percent dip.

On the other side of Alone in the Dark - which also topped the Xbox 360 list but couldn't make much headway with the Wii - was the perennial GTA IV, which is down one place.

New entries elsewhere on the chart include Square Enix's Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII at ten (accounting for 54 percent of all full-price PSP game sales last week), Top Spin 3 at 12 and Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What To Eat? at 19.

SEGA's Incredible Hulk port also finally limps through the door (and frame, and surrounding wall) at 36. It launched on 360 and DS on 13th June, which wasn't enough to earn it a spot last week, with a PS3 version arriving on the 20th. You wouldn't buy it when it's angry.
