Fortnite Utopia secret Battle Stars and loading screens explained

Each completed stage of the Utopia challenge - which requires you to complete all the Challenges in a specific week - unlocks a new loading screen.

If you view these loading screens closely, it actually hints at the location of a secret Battle Star or Banner location on the map.

Finding additional Battle Stars in the game will then give you an additional Tier towards your Season 9 Battle Pass progress, while new Banners will give you new customisation options.

Note that you need to have unlocked that specific loading screen before it will appear on the map.

When you have collected 90 Fortbytes, the Utopia skin - Singularity - is yours.

If you were interested, Seasons 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 had a Battle Star / Loading Screen skin too, named The Visitor, The Enforcer, AIM, The Prisoner and Ruin respectively.

How hard is unlocking the Utopia skin associated Utopia loading screens? Though it's the first time Fortbytes have been introduced, our guess is as long as you play consistently across a Season it isn't too difficult - but will be time intensive if you leave it until the last minute.

You have until the end of the Season to unlock the various Utopia loading screens and skin, otherwise it'll be gone forever. Good luck!

Regardless of the order you'll complete a week of Season 9 Challenges, the order of the Utopia loading screens and their subsequent Utopia Battle Star locations will be the same.

Utopia loading screen week 1 (thanks sebasvargas on reddit):

This appears north of the desert race track and west of the deserted mansion on the eastern edge of the map. Specifically, you need to find where the path leading from the mansion meets the one running vertically up the map, then go south a little.

Utopia loading screen week 2:

This Utopia loading screen location leads to Fortbyte location 13, which is found next to a portable toilet just south of the dinosaurs in the desert.

Utopia loading screen week 3:

The Utopia Week 3 Loading Screen location is just outside of Junk Junction, the named location in the north-east of the map.

Specifically, it's above the stack of objects above the lorry just outside of the south gate.

Utopia loading screen week 4:

First of all, you don't need to have unlocked this in order to collect the Fortbyte location that it leads to.

This Utopia Loading Screen is within Paradise Palms. Specifically, you need to head to the main road that runs through the middle.

On the east side of this road, about halfway up, there's a shop named the 'Keyboard King' - you can tell from the sign above it.

Head here and smash the ATM that's outside, revealing the Utopia Week 4 Loading Screen reward.

Utopia loading screen week 5:

You'll find this Utopia loading screen location on the same mountain as the castle next to Haunted Hills.

Specifically, it's round the other side, on the same level where the Wind Turbine location is found.

On this ledge, go west of the Wind Turbine, where you'll see a bare patch in the grass next to the cliff's edge. It's here where the Utopia Battle Star location will spawn.

Utopia loading screen week 6:

First of all, you don't need to have unlocked this in order to collect the Fortbyte location that it leads to.

To find the Utopia Week 6 Loading Screen Battle Star, you need to visit Neo Tilted. In the south-west is a tall tower with a holographic time ticker above it. This is where the clock tower used to be in the old Tilted Towers, by the way - it's just received a modern facelift.

The Utopia Battle Star can be found on top of the tower itself - so make sure you fly in from the Battle Bus at the beginning of the match to make it easier.

Utopia loading screen week 7:

You'll find the week 7 Utopia loading screen at the Pressure Plant, the volcano-based location introduced at the start of this season.

Specifically, you'l find it to the south, underneath one of the sets of stairs that climb up the outside - you'll need to build up to reveal and collect it.

Fortnite Utopia Battle Star loading screen location 8

Utopia loading screen week 8:

First of all, you don't need to have unlocked this in order to collect the Fortbyte location that it leads to.

This Fortbyte location is in Lucky Landing, the named location at the far south of the map - you'll then want to visit the north-most house.

From the ground floor, head up the stairs once, and when you return the corner, to go up the next flight, you'll find the Fortbyte next to the gym equipment.

Utopia loading screen week 9:

This Utopia Battle Star location is within Mega Mall, the named location added at the start of Season 9.

Specifically, it's within the mall complex proper on the east side. Approach from the west from the ground floor, and you'll see a display car straight ahead that's roped off. The Battle Star will appear above that.

Utopia loading screen week 10:

As with other Loading Screen related Fortbyte locations, you don't need to have it unlocked before finding it.

To find Utopia Loading Screen 10, you need to head to Lonely Lodge. You need to head for the small shed just west of the main lodge, near the road.

Once you're there, head into the shed and you'll find Fortbyte33 - and the Utopia Loading Screen 10 reward.
