Sliding into EMs.

As a member of the Cold War weapons roster, the EM2 presents itself with a distinct look in comparison, as well as a promising potential hiding under the muzzle. With the right attachments, this can easily be unveiled, turning it into a decent option for your multiplayer affairs.

This page will cover how to unlock the EM2 in the swiftest way possible, and the best EM2 loadout and EM2 class recommendations to make the most of it.

How to unlock the EM2 in Warzone

The EM2 can be obtained either by purchasing an in-game blueprint in the shop or by leveling up the battle pass.

In order to unlock the EM2, you must reach tier 15 of the battle pass (this includes the free version).

It's a rather straightforward task that won't take you long to achieve. If you're playing Black Ops Cold War, we recommend you to complete 24/7 modes as well as Team Deathmatch playlists. They won't take long in terms of match length, and you can always get good XP from them.

If you're opting for Warzone, the choice is up to you, really. Either battle royale, Plunder or Rebirth will do the job just fine.

Best Warzone EM2 loadout and attachments

Here's our best attachments that you should be bolting on to the EM2 when you're dropping into Verdansk.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor (Unlocks at level 46)
  • Barrel: 25.8" Task Force (Unlocks at level 48)
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x (Unlocks at level 22)
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip (Unlocks at level 41)
  • Ammunition: 35 Rnd Speed Mag (Unlocks at level 25)

Let's start with the muzzle. You'll want to equip the Agency Suppressor for this one, as it improves vertical recoil control as well as increasing both bullet velocity and damage range - in addition to sound suppression, of course. It comes with an impact to aim down sight speed and the overall aiming stability, but not by much.

Onto the barrel. The 25.8" Task Force is a great option, further increasing all three enhancements from the muzzle, as well as improving horizontal recoil control. It comes with a few drawbacks overall aim speeds and to hip fire accuracy, but the impacts aren't huge.

No laser or stock for this particular build. Instead, we recommend pairing the EM2 with an optic. We've found the Axial Arms 3x to be the best option, granting zoom magnification with a decent iron sight. Considering the buff the weapon received during Season 4 Reloaded, making the most out of the weapon with an optic so you're not missing any headshots or body shots is key.

In the underbarrel slot, the Field Agent Grip is great to add extra horizontal and vertical recoil control. This attachment choice comes with the caveat of reducing regular and ADS firing move speeds slightly, but not by a ton.

Lastly, we have opted for the 35 Rnd Speed Mag, which gives you more rounds and also improves your reload speed. It comes with a cost to ADS time, so if it's proving difficult for you to aim with this attachment, you can opt for the 40 Rnd instead.

Best Warzone EM2 class setup, perks and equipment

As for the best class items, such as equipment and Perks, that you should use to get the most out of the EM2.

  • Perk 1: Quick Fix (Unlocks at level 42)
  • Perk 2: Overkill (Unlocks at level 38)
  • Perk 3: Amped (Unlocks at level 1)
  • Secondary: Swiss K31 (Unlocks by getting 2 Headshot kills in 15 different completed matches using any sniper rifle)
  • Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor (Unlocks at level 30)
  • Lethal: Claymore (Unlocks at level 1)

With this EM2 build it won't take you long to start taking down enemies, which is why beginning health regeneration immediately after each battle with Quick Fix makes for a great combo. Level 42 may sound a bit steep, and if such, we recommend opting for E.O.D. as it will help to mitigate damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire until you can unlock this perk.

As per usual we recommend opting for Overkill as the second perk. As for our weapon of choice, the Swiss K31 is the perfect pair. This sniper rifle is fast and can deal damage at great distances in just a few seconds.

If a target manages to sneak past your sniper, don't fret, as Amped will increase the speed of the action.

Rounding out the equipment is the Heartbeat Sensor, perfect for pinpointing nearby enemy locations. Lastly, the Claymore is excellent for defending against specific points against aggressive enemy players.
