Amazon Cyber Monday Deals Week begins

Friday update: Whoops, what happened to Thursday? Sorry! Friday's Amazon Cyber Monday video game deals (confusing) are Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising on PS3, 360; Scooby Doo and the Spooky Swamp on Wii; and Dual Pen Sports on 3DS.

Dragon Rising, a 7/10 game on Eurogamer, is the one to watch, then. Sale starts at 11.30am.

Amazon also has pages of discount video games to sift through. At a glance, there's Dead Island for Ł24, Gran Turismo 5 for Ł10, Uncharted 3 for Ł28 and DJ Hero Turntable kits for Ł19.

Wednesday update:Today's Amazon Cyber Monday video game deal is Crackdown 2 for Xbox 360 (8/10 Eurogamer).

The sale starts at 11.30am, and we won't know the new price until then. Crackdown 2 currently costs Ł9.97 on Amazon.

As with Amazon's Black Friday deals, limited quantities of products will be discounted at intervals every day this week. These are called "lightning sales".

Today's video game-related lightning deal is Duke Nukem Forever on PS3. This starts at 11.30am. And you'll have to wait until then to find out what the new price will be.

Duke Nukem Forever currently sells for Ł32.12 on Amazon.

We'll update this article frequently to catch each of Amazon's video game deals.

Amazon offers free delivery in the UK regardless of how much you spend.

There's a wide variety of sale items besides video games on offer as well.

This is probably accurate, but it was a pretty weak excuse for a sale to begin with what with Black Friday in the US having become something of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Still, any excuse for a sale is good enough.

Can't speak for the console versions but on PC DNF was well worth a fiver recently. I can't decide whether it's awesome or awful. Probably a bit of both, I'm somehow enjoying it even if it is cringeworthy at times technically, dialogue and humour wise. Great boobs, best in a video game...mmmmm boobs..

the duke hasn't sold for that much for donkeys years. yes the super-duper edition filled with useless tat but the game itself has been around the Ł10-Ł15 mark for months.

Ł4.90 is generally a small amount of money EXCEPT in the case where DNF is concerned. All's which is happening here is Amazon clearing up some shelf space while at the same time taking a bit of money for what is little more than a plastic case, the game inside it not even being worthy of spending 5 minutes playing...and believe me, I should know after playing the demo! What a mess of a game!

I got it free with 3D Vision and its a pretty fun game, sure it has issues but its far from the broken mess some people say.

Of course this is on PC i hear the console port was pretty aweful. Which is funny considering the recent spate of crappy ports to the PC.

Hmm, Gamesattion are doing far superior deals right now, I just ordered Skyrim for Ł22. TWENTY TWO! When it's Ł40 most places. Got me all set for my gaming week off after Xmas! EG should mention this over the Amazon one but I guess someone's clearly paying someone else... would just be nice if they were honest about it and said this article is an ad placement! (unless they did and I missed it)

@Sharzam I've found DNF to be a good deal of fun, and that it included some very nice level design (special mention goes, so far, to the clever homage to the original's block-leveling sequence! I've not nearly finished it, just got to the street) on medium difficulty - that was not erroneously described - but so far it's been very good!
