Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Take or leave resources: What to do with the resources in Seas of Fate explained

Should you take the cargo to England?

Seas of Fate is the final mission you'll complete in Norway, before you depart to England for the first time in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

During this mission, you'll have to decide whether you will or won't take the cargo you earned by defeating Kjotve to England.

Deciding what to do with these resources will have an effect on the larger story of Assassin's Creed Valhalla and this page explains what the consequences of taking or leaving these resources are.

Be warned this page, like all those we have on story choices in Assassin's Creed Valhalla like Soma's traitor, does contain spoilers.

How the Seas of Fate mission and deciding whether to take the cargo works in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

You will be given the choice to take the cargo from Styrbjorn with you to England in Chapter 5 of Battle for the Northern Way, mission The Seas of Fate.

In Aleklstad, Styrbjorn pleads his fealty to King Harald. Unable to accept the idea of bending the knee to a King of Norway, Sigurd decides that it is best for the Raven Clan to build a new kingdom in England.

The clan agrees, but they want to take the cargo that they took from the raid on Kjotve. Eivor sides with the people, believing that the cargo is hers by right. Sigurd disagrees, claiming that it belongs to his father, as compensation.

Take or leave the resources in Assassin's Creed Valhalla?

Eivor must choose between the following resource-related story choices:

  • We take the resources to England.
  • We leave the resources for Styrbjorn.

Pick whichever option feels right for you, but, be warned, your choice could have a greater impact on events than you know.

The new DLC is here - and we explain how to start The Siege of Paris, as well as new romance options and Treasure Hoard locations. If you're after end game activities in the full game, we can explain how to get Nodens' Arc, Excalibur, Thor gear and other Valhalla armour sets, Power Level and how to get XP fast, Order of the Ancients locations and all Assassin's Creed Valhalla story choices. If you're looking for things to collect and upgrade, we have lists on best skills and Book of Knowledge locations.

How does the resources choice affect Assassin's Creed Valhalla?

Leaving the cargo behind maintains your loyalty with Sigurd and could affect the ending.

Taking the cargo with you causes Sigurd to condemn the theft and reluctantly agree to it.
