Assassin's Creed: Valhalla - Thor gear locations: How to get Thor's hammer Mjolnir and other Thor equipment explained

How to get your hands on the mythical gear set and weapon.

Thor gear in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla allows you to don the armour of the great god of thunder.

One of many armour sets in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the Thor set is perhaps the most difficult and time intensive in the game - which each piece requiring either tough battles or prerequisites to find.

Then, once done, Thor's hammer - Mjolnir - is yours for the taking.

In short - consider this an end-game activity, and something you should ideally only stride towards once the story has reached its conclusion.

Thor's gear in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla explained

To get all of Thor's gear, you need to go through a number of steps to get each piece, including several boss battles and defeating the entirety of the Ancient Order.

Ultimately, however, the rewards are worth it; the set bonus not only increases your stun damage, but also increases your speed every time you stun enemies - useful when paired with another heavy weapon, such as Excalibur.

Being able to stun that fast, and hitting with two heavy weapons, is also a fun way to battle when you have the skill Heavy Dual Wielding activated.

There's a lot to look forward to - but also a lot of work to be done. Here's how to get each armour piece, step by step, followed by the hammer.

How to get find and defeat the Daughters of Lerion in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

To get three of Thor's gear pieces - the Battle Breeches, Plate and Gauntlets - you need to defeat the Daughters of Lerion and retrieve their daggers.

These three boss battles differ in power level, so you will be able to defeat them at different points of the game.

The three sisters reside not very far from each other, but perhaps the most distinctive sign to find them is that they live in a limited open space crowned by a tied corpse that you must interact with to begin the battle.

How to get Thor's Battle Breeches by defeating Goneril in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Power Level: 90

Goneril is by far the easiest of the three sisters, which you find at the most northeast point of the Grantebridgescire region, in a place called Spalda Fens.

The fight involves her using some teleporting mechanics and poison gas, but nothing too crazy until her HP bar drops to half.

That's when she starts adding some charged AoE attacks that will hit hard if you don't get away from the circle quickly enough.

Keep your dodging on point and you should be fine.

Once you're done, she will reward you with Thor's Breeches and her dagger.

How to get Thor's Battle Plate by defeating Regan in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Power Level: 160

Regan resides near the northern coast of East Anglia, in a place called Walsham Crag.

Here's when the fights start to get trickier, so you need to start thinking about skill combinations. It's strongly advised to use the 'Brush with Death' skill to slow the time when you dodge, creating openings to attack.

This works exceptionally in combination with 'Backstab' and 'Grit' since the first skill makes you inflict more damage from behind and the second skill allows you to heal the red portion of the HP bar.

Her fight is a bit harder than Goneril since not only she can parry, but also has a light clone that can hurt you and an unblockable Rune Attack. Be careful with your stamina, hit just as necessary and you should prevail, getting Thor's Battle Plate and the second dagger as rewards.

How to get Thor's Battle Plate by defeating Cordelia in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Power Level: 340

Cordelia lives in the southwest part of East Anglia, in a place called Berkelow Bog.

Being the hardest of the three sisters, this encounter will require more leveling and equipment improvement, as much as you can.

She hits very hard and moves fast, not only teleporting at her convenience but also sending lightning clones to hit you from afar.

The second phase of the battle involves quick spamming of lightning attacks that you can dodge if you're timing is good, just keep it safe and hit her when you can get an opening, and you should be fine.

Again, using 'Brush with Death', 'Backstab' and 'Grit' reduces the difficulty of this fight drastically, which you can even improve by adding 'Heavy Dual Wield' to the mix. Once you defeat the final daughter, you will get Thor's Gauntlets and the third dagger.

How to get Thor's helmet by solving the Lerion's Crypt puzzle in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Once the three Daughters of Lerion are finally defeated, you must go to East Anglia, and travel to the southwest of Burgh Castle, which is located on the east coast.

Near the Yare River you will find a crypt next to a ruined church that goes underground and travels through a straightforward tunnel until you encounter a statue with three holes in its back.

Once you inserted the three one by one, the statue will implode, opening another entrance to a deeper crypt displaying some chests and a bigger chest at the end.

Open it and reclaim Thor's Helmet.

How to get Thor's cape in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

If you think the above was difficult, getting Thor's cape requires you to take down all members of Order of the Ancients.

This is a total of 45 targets, with 16 being roaming fights of various power levels, and the rest being tied in some degree to your story progression and other quests.

Our recommendation is to progress through the game and kill as many as you can as you advance, and if you have some left to find by the time you finished, just hit the main roads of the different regions and try to find the clues displayed in your Order menu, and you will be done in no time.

Once you finished, go and talk to Hytham in your Ravensthorpe settlement, and he will give you Thor's Cape.

How to get Thor's hammer Mjolnir in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

You got the full Thor Armor ensemble! Now only his weapon remains.

To do that, you must head to Norway, and board your Longship to travel to the Hordafylke region, to the river that ends on an ancient cave.

Don't go all the way to the end, though, you just need to head to the left side of the mid part of the river and dock there, where you will find a path that goes deeper into the mountains.

After walking for a bit you will hear a thunder cracking and you'll soon arrive at a rocky dead-end with a sparkling hammer resting, untouched.

Equip the full armor and you will be able to claim the hammer of the God of Thunder for yourself.

Dropping at level 7 and with three rune slots, this mythical quality weapon has a chance to do stun damage to all the enemies around you with every hit, indeed a mighty weapon to challenge the gods themselves.

Congratulations! Now if you're looking for another mythical weapon, there's Excalibur out there to find...
