Regigigas, the colossal legendary Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, has awoken in Pokémon Go.

Fighting Pokémon are the key to defeating the creator of the legendary titans - Regice, Regirock and Registeel.

Regigigas was the first Pokémon to debut as part of a paid in-game event, acting as the final reward for A Colossal Discovery

Regigigas counters and weaknesses in Pokémon Go

Here's a list counters for Regigigas to help you add it to your Pokédex:

  • Regigigas type: Normal
  • Regigigas is weak against: Fighting-type Pokémon
  • Regigigas counters: Mewtwo (Shadow), Machamp, Breloom, Hariyama, Lucario, Toxicroak and Conkeldurr
  • Other Regigigas notes: Since Regigigas is a normal-type Pokémon, you should start the battle with your strongest fighting-type Pokémon. Psychic-types, like Mewtwo, can be used as backup if needed.

Regigigas CP in Pokémon Go

Regigigas should have the following CP ranges:

  • Raid Boss CP - 55,480
  • Normal CP range for catching Regigigas - 2,389 to 2,483
  • Weather Boosted CP range (Partly Cloudy) - 2,987 to 3,104

Regigigas can use a variety of fast and charged moves in Pokémon Go, including:

Possible Fast Moves:

  • Hidden Power (Normal)
  • Zen Headbutt (Psychic)

Possible Charged Moves:

  • Focus Blast (Fighting)
  • Giga Impact (Normal)
  • Thunder (Electric)

Everything we know about Regigigas

Regigigas is the legendary colossal Pokémon who was once worshipped as a god by the people of the Sinnoh region. It would create the legendary titans of Hoenn - Regice, Registeel and Regirock.

Eventually the people of Sinnoh became afraid of the power Regigigas wielded and sealed it within the basement of Snowpoint Temple.

This origin story is very similar to the tale of the Golem of Prague. Golems are creatures from Hebrew mythology and its believed that the citizens of Prague became so afraid of the golem that they locked it in an attic. Regigigas certainly does resemble a golem.

The creation of Regigigas could have also taken inspiration from the titans of Greek mythology. These beings were imprisoned in the underworld when they became too dangerous.
