Minun 100% perfect IV stats, shiny Minun in Pokémon Go

You may find a shiny Minun!

There is a shiny Minun in Pokémon Go, but there are other reasons to partake in this week's Spotlight Hour.

During this event, you'll be able to catch as many Minuns as possible, which may lead you to finding a 100% perfect IV Minun or a shiny Minun.

Elsewhere in the world of Pokémon Go, the Power Plant event is currently running during the Season of Heritage, which has seen the new arrival of Helioptile and Heliolisk. You can also partake in January's XP challenge if you've purchased a Go Tour: Johto ticket.

Minun's 100% perfect IV in Pokémon Go

This week's Spotlight Hour is the perfect opportunity to catch a Minun with perfect IV stats.

Unfortunately, Minun isn't a particularly useful Pokémon competitively - so consider having good stats simply a nice to have.

The CP values that correspond to perfect 15/15/15 values are as follows:

  • Level 30 (wild CP maximum) - 1452 CP
  • Level 35 (weather boosted CP maximum) - 1573 CP

The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach Level 30 and, since the majority of the player base is now above Level 30, we've kept to the values above to keep things simple. These values will, however, be different if you're currently below Level 30.

Is there a shiny Minun in Pokémon Go?

There is a shiny Minun in Pokémon Go.

Minun's shiny form was released as part of the Chicago leg of the Summer Tour 2018, alongside Plusle and Zapdos.

It's important to remember that only the Minun spawn rate will be increased during the Spotlight Hour, not the shiny encounter rate. This means that you're working with the regular shiny rate for Minun, so, even if you spend the whole hour searching, there's still a chance you can't find one.

The Dual Destiny Season is here! It begins with the Just My Cup of Tea event, which also sees the arrival of Sinistea and the Dual Destiny quest in Pokémon Go! You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.

Other reasons to catch as many Minun as possible

It may be a quiet week in Pokemon Go, but, along with the chance of finding a shiny Minun, there are still a number of reasons to partake in this week's Spotlight Hour:

  • During Spotlight Hour, every Pokémon you transfer will give you double Candy. It's recommended you 'save' any of the rarer creatures from recent events - such as Community Day - to transfer during this hour to get more out of them.
  • By catching a bunch of Minun, you'll be adding progress to your electric-type catch medal.

A reminder that Spotlight Hour lasts from 6pm to 7pm (local time). At the time of writing, the next Spotlight Hour creature or bonus has yet to be confirmed.
