Burnout Paradise and Rayman Legends are getting Xbox One backwards compatibility today

Along with off-road racer Pure.

The Xbox One backwards compatible library is adding three new games today and they're all winners.

In one corner we've got Criterion's seminal 2008 open-world racing game Burnout Paradise, a title that's also a Games with Gold offering from 16th-31st December.

Our Chris Donlan recently praised Burnout Paradise when discussing open-world games on the Eurogamer podcast. Naturally, it was oft compared to Skyrim (of course!).

Speaking of 2008 racing games, another new entry in the backwards compatible library includes Black Rock Studios' off-road trick-racing quad-bike game Pure, which we likewise recommended back in the day.

And finally, last but not least, there's Michel Ancel's wonderful cartoon platformer Rayman Legends, a game we deemed essential upon its 2014 launch.
