Watch nearly an hour of Assassin's Creed Syndicate

The presenters seem a little green.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate's hour-long demo is now available online.

Or rather a recreation of that presentation played by the Yogcast, whose presenter is a little rusty on how to play the game. As such, we see a lot of mistakes as they try to come to grips with this sequel's complex control scheme.

Sporting green against a green-screen was not the wisest idea for the hosts.

This is also an early alpha build, so it's a little buggy. The voices glitch out in the opening cutscene and there is some general awkwardness throughout. It's unclear if things like the enemy AI not noticing a falling crate and an assassin hopping from the roof and stabbing two of their buddies all within a few meters of them will be fixed by the final release.

Since Ubisoft has limited the amount of the game it's willing to unveil, we only see multiple playthroughs of the same mission as opposed to more of the game world. Still, as we saw in a recent Metal Gear Solid 5 presentation, there are different ways to play through each section. (Though Assassin's Creed Syndicate is sorely lacking in rocket arms.)

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will launch on 23rd October on PS4 and Xbox One with a PC port to follow.
