Splinter Cell: Conviction dated

Out in February.

Ubisoft has announced that Splinter Cell: Conviction will be released for PC and Xbox 360 on 23rd February in the US.

European gamers will have to wait a little longer, according to IGN - presumably until the nearest Friday, which is 26th February.

Conviction returns players to the now-vengeful shoes of former secret agent Sam Fisher as he hunts down his daughter's killer, and it's all gone a bit Bourne Identity with a faster pace and a new mark-and-execute gimmick that allows players to clear rooms by pre-arranging elaborate multi-enemy takedowns.

You can read all about that in our latest Splinter Cell: Conviction hands-on preview.

The game was originally announced yonks ago, then delayed, before making a reappearance at E3 earlier this year, before being delayed again for "polish". It's almost ready, then.
