Stalker renamed

With holiday snaps from Chernobyl.

Another product of THQ's quarterly financial report was news that Stalker: Oblivion Lost (or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as we've deliberately avoided referring to it) has been renamed. Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, as it's now known, is due out sometime in THQ's fiscal year 2005 - never fear though, that actually starts in March 2004.

Developed by Ukrainians GSC Game World, Stalker involves, well, stalking the ruins of Chernobyl fighting off imagined wildlife that has spawned in the region. In fact, we were recently sent a rather interesting collections of photos from GSC's trip into the restricted site of the nuclear disaster. It's certainly more interesting than your auntie's holiday snaps of Madeira. Ever been to meltdown?
