MAG patch coming

New lighting effects!

PlayStation 3-exclusive shooter MAG is set to receive a patch next month.

The update, due early August, will include features fans have been "asking us for all summer", Zipper Interactive senior community manager Jeremy Dunham wrote on the US PlayStation blog.

Patch version 1.07 will bring a new 'Happy Hour' double experience point bonus, faster download and patching code, redesigned versions of maps, new lighting effects "for more attractive and realistic environments" and various bug fixes.

Suppression will join Sabotage as a faction neutral gameplay mode, allowing any PMC to battle each other on any Suppression Map.

More features will be revealed over the week.
