Both Skwovet and Wooloo have an evolution - Greedent and Dubwool - which will help you make an excellent start on your Gen 8 Pokédex.
Alongside these two new Pokémon, you can also catch Falinks and the legendary Pokémon Zacian, with its counterpart, Zamazenta, being available during the second week of Ultra Unlock 2021: Sword and Shield.

How to get Skwovet and evolution Greedent in the latest Pokémon Go event
Skwovet, the cheeky Pokémon, is a Gen 8 Pokémon, which first appeared in Pokémon Go in August 2021.
You can find Skwovet using a variety of methods throughout the Ultra Unlock 2021: Sword and Shield event:
- In the wild
- Field research task - Use 7 Berries to help catch Pokémon
- Completing the - Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon - challenge in Stage 4 of the 'Ultra Unlock 2021: Sword and Shield' timed research quest
- Spotlight Hour - Tuesday, 24th August from 6pm to 7pm (local time)
Thanks to the methods listed above, you shouldn't have much trouble catching a Skwovet. The best way to find a Skwovet is the Spotlight Hour on Tuesday, 24th August, because, due to the nature of the event, you'll be inundated with little squirrels.
Once you've caught a Skwovet, your next goal will most likely be evolving it into a Greedent and, to do this, you need to collect 50 Skwovet Candy.
The Skwovet Spotlight Hour is, again, an excellent time to complete this goal; through the use of Pinap Berries and the hour's double transfer candy bonus, you'll easily collect the candy you need.
New to the game is a long overdue Mega Evolution update, which has arrived alongside the A Mega Moment research. May 2022 in Pokémon Go includes the Water Festival, which celebrates the release of Dewpider and Araquanid. Tapu Fini has also been released alongside A Poni Adventure - the last Alola region-themed special research quest. Currently both the Ultra League and Element Cup are running in the Go Battle League. Elsewhere, we've recently seen the release of more Gen 7 Pokémon as part of the Season of Alola. The first details surrounding Go Fest 2022 have also been announced, including the event date.
How to get Wooloo and evolution Dubwool in the latest Pokémon Go event
Wooloo, the sheep inspired normal-type Pokémon, is one of the Gen 8 Pokémon making its Pokémon Go debut in August 2021.
It can be found during the Ultra Unlock 2021: Sword and Shield event using the following methods:
- In the wild
- Field research task - Earn 5 hearts with your buddy
- Complete the - Earn 12 hearts with your buddy - challenge in the 'Ultra Unlock 2021: Sword and Shield' timed research quest
- Spotlight Hour - Tuesday, 31st August from 6pm to 7pm (local time)
Due to having a variety of catching methods, you should find it quite easy to add Wooloo to your Pokédex. Still, if you are having trouble locating a Wooloo, we recommend taking part in the Spotlight Hour on Tuesday, 31st August, because it will appear more frequently in the wild during this mini-event.
After catching a Wooloo, you'll need to collect 50 Wooloo Candy to evolve it into a Dubwool. You can easily achieve this by utilising the Wooloo Spotlight Hour on Tuesday, 31st August and Pinap Berries, so you can quickly gather the required candy.
It's also a good idea to evolve Wooloo during this Spotlight Hour, because evolution XP will be doubled during this weekly event.
Good luck adding Skwovet and Wooloo to your Pokédex!
