Tropico 5 PS4 gameplay footage

Despot the difference.

Kalypso has released footage of the PlayStation 4 version of island paradise city-builder Tropico 5.

The PS4 version is due out later this year, producer Timo Thomas said in a post on the PlayStation blog.

Tropico 5 is the first game in Haemimont's popular strategy series to appear on a PlayStation console, and the PS4 version follows the release of the PC and Xbox 360 versions in 2014.

In it you play bearded despot El Presidente and rule over the small banana republic of Tropico located in the Caribbean. You can be voted out of power, so you have to keep yourself in government while managing your people.

Thomas said the PS4 version maps management controls to the controller, so hopefully it shouldn't feel too fiddly. The visuals are 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second. Remote Play with PlayStation TV and Vita works, too.
