Bethesda hopeful of The Pitt fix today

Final checks were done last night.

Bethesda is hopeful that a working version of The Pitt will be available from Xbox Live Marketplace later today. The team was doing final checks on the content last night, according to the Bethblog.

The developer removed the corrupt Fallout 3 DLC file yesterday after Xbox 360 users reported seeing wacky in-game graphical glitches, such as floating exclamation marks. Bethesda told us the problem was localised to the English version of The Pitt.

The DLC costs 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) and takes place in Pittsburgh, evidently. There's an abandoned steel yard full of enemies to explore, plus a Downtown settlement divided between slavers and slaves to investigate. There's even an enticing Raider infiltration mission to embark upon, as well as a spattering of unique items to seek and extra side quests to tackle.

Fallout 3 DLC, remember, is exclusive to Xbox 360 and PC. Incidentally, the PC version of The Pitt remains unaffected by this recent hiccup.

We'll post our thoughts of The Pitt soon.
