3D Realms founder denies Take-Two claim
USD 12m for rights is "100 per cent spin".
3D Realms co-founder Scott Miller has denied that the developer received USD 12 million from Take-Two for the publishing rights to Duke Nukem Forever as stated in the lawsuit filed last week.
"No. We didn't get a penny of that money. This, along with so much else, is 100 per cent spin, being eaten up by those who have no clue whatsoever," he wrote on a Shacknews comment thread. "But, we cannot talk yet. We will, soon..."
Court documents uncovered last week also show that Take-Two is demanding a copy of the game's source code "to ensure the code is preserved and remains unharmed during the pendency of this lawsuit".
3D Realms shut down earlier this month after more than 10 years developing Duke Nukem Forever.
