It seems the special DVD attached to the latest edition of Famitsu does indeed show Resident Evil 5 being played.
This contradicts what publisher Capcom told us yesterday, when it said no new gameplay footage would be revealed on the disc.
Videogaming247 unearthed the clip of the hotly-anticipated title in action, so pop over there to whet your whistle.
The demonstration is controlled using an Xbox 360 pad, which is compatible with PC; this is not necessarily Xbox 360 footage, then.
The clip shows protagonist Chris wandering around the desert village that may or may not be in Africa where elephants and rhinos are. Enemy zombies stand around and are shot in the face with a shotgun; evidently they can't think for themselves yet.
It all looks to be coming along nicely, and you can catch up with all the information released so far in our Resident Evil 5 gamepage.
