Brothers In Arms developer Gearbox Software has joined the growing list of developers singing the Nintendo Wii's praises.

"Gearbox Software is enthusiastically supporting the Wii," company pres Randy Pitchford told IGN.

"At this time, we don't have any announcements to make about specific games we may be developing for Wii," he added - the implication being there is something, obviously.

Apparently Randy likes the price, the interface, the "sure-bet library of games based on the great Nintendo properties" and the Virtual Console idea.

He's not so keen on its "lower relative power" compared to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 though - but that doesn't seem to have dampened his enthusiasm for working on it.

Gearbox is currently working on Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway - the third game in its acclaimed World War II tactical shooter series.

It's due out next year on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
