Xbox Live down for maintenance
Normal service to resume shortly.
If you've been trying and failing to get on Xbox Live this morning, you might as well give up for a few hours - since it's down for maintenance.
According to Xbox's Major Nelson, the maintenance will take place between 10am and 2pm GMT.
"As a result, the 'My Xbox' section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you won’t be able to post)", he wrote on his blog. The rest of Xbox.com is up and running, though.
If you're hoping for all sorts of spanky new enhancements to the service, you're out of luck: "This is for maintenance, there are no new features that will appear when the service comes back online. This is all for server maintenance... Nothing more, nothing less."
Roll on 2pm, then...
