GC: Mario Strikers live demo

Now showing on EGTV.

A surprise appearance by a brand new Mazza game for Wii proved one of the highlights in Nintendo's otherwise confident if unspectacular conference yesterday at the sausage-packed Leipzig Games Convention.

Mario Strikers Charged, spiritual sequel to GameCube sports-action title Mario Smash Football, is a multiplayer, distinctively Nintendo take on the beautiful game, employing the unique features of the Wii controller to add an extra dimension to the quirky proceedings.

Treated to a lengthy stage unveiling during yesterday's media show, Eurogamer TV managed to elbow its way through the slavering hordes to direct the all-seeing lens of truth at Nintendo reps as they jabbered through an excitable playtest.

The video, complete with breathlessly enthusiastic German commentary, is available now on EGTV.
