Blizzard bans some folks

And credits some others.

Blizzard hath giveth and taketh a little bit away from European WOWsers this past week.

Following a technical issue last Wednesday, which caused some issues for people connected to 20 of its English-speaking Realms, the developer kindly decided to credit any affected players with a free day's worth of play.

Then, following some more sleuthery, it banned 2500 European WOW users who were "involved in the use of cheats and/or hacks using third-person software or were otherwise violating our Terms of Use".

Young Spies can snitch on anyone thought cheating by sending an email to WoWAccountReviewEU@blizzard.com or by submitting a GM ticket in-game.

Full details of bans and credits can be found on the game's European website.
