Moore: No cricket game to announce

Rumoured game "does not exist... sorry".

EA Sports boss Peter Moore has said that EA has "absolutely nothing to announce about a cricket game" and that it "does not exist".

Rumours have been swirling around cricket fan-sites, including CricketGaming.net, that the publisher is working on Cricket 09.

"Despite whatever you may have read online, we have absolutely nothing to announce about a cricket game," Moore wrote on his blog in response.

"As per my previous posts on this issue, if and when we have an announcement to make about a title, we will do so in a timely and structured manner. But in this case, no amount of persistent pushing can create a game that does not exist...sorry."

EA's last cricket game was Cricket 07, developed by HB Studios, which came out on PS2 and PC in November 2006, featuring international and county play, and the Ashes.
