Activision will release a GoldenEye 007 Classic Edition bundle that includes a gold Wii Classic Controller Pro.

The bling's due out this autumn. No price has been announced, but pics of the gold controller are below.

The shooter, developed by Eurocom, is a Wii-exclusive that retells the story of the 1995 Pierce Brosnan film, recasting current Bond Daniel Craig in the lead.

It's not a remake of the Rare classic, but pays tribute to it in various details and in the spirit of its frantic multiplayer mode.

There's four-player split-screen multiplayer, 40 characters in total, ten maps, three standard modes and 18 special modifiers that allow for hundreds of game combinations.

The game's also got online multiplayer for up to eight players with unique modes and an experience point system for unlockables and achievements.

"In addition to the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, GoldenEye will also support the Wii Zapper for point and shoot gamers, giving players several ways to experience GoldenEye on Wii," said David Pokress, head of marketing for licensed properties, Activision Publishing.

"We also couldn't pass up the opportunity to pay homage to the golden gun with the gold Classic Controller Pro, which looks cool and also gives shooter fans a familiar control scheme to use as they blast their way through the game."

The lovely Christian Donlan went hands-on for Eurogamer in July.
