With the rather memorable Ocarina of Time episode of Late to the Party, Chris Bratt proved that he's not all that comfortable when it comes to older game control schemes. Being the sadistic sort, I decided to introduce him to Silent Hill 2, which, long story short, he didn't get on with. Honestly, I've never seen him so mad.

Konami UK has announced that Akira Yamaoka will undertake a five date tour of the UK in October and November, performing music from the Silent Hill series with a live band.

This week we learned that Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro are collaborating on a new game in the Silent Hill series. Despite both men having a reputation for attaching themselves to projects that either take years to materialise, if they happen at all, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this could be the best thing to happen to Silent Hill in over a decade. Why? Because both Kojima and Del Toro are into weird stuff.

Troy Baker - the new voice of James Sunderland in Silent Hill 2 HD - has defended the quality of the voice acting in the game, and blamed original voice actor Guy Cihi for forcing Konami to record new voices.

Avary on board to write sequel.

A second Silent Hill movie is officially on the way, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Screenwriter Roger Avary and producer Samuel Hadida, who worked on the first film, have already signed up for the project.

Movie company Davis Films will start shooting next year, once they've finished Resident Evil 4.

Konami confirms PS2 re-issues

Konami confirms PS2 re-issues

Demand brings classics back.

Konami has confirmed to Eurogamer that it is reissuing old PS2 games to shops, as a keen-eyed EG reader suspected.

"They are proper reissues," a spokesperson told us. "Konami has put them out at budget price because of demand. They are re-manufactured. They are ours."

Those PS2 games are Suikoden Tactics, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. And they will soon be joined by Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4.
