Activision "misspoke" in casting doubt on Call of Duty Elite PC

"Stay tuned for an update."

Activision misspoke when it said yesterday that it couldn't guarantee Call of Duty Elite would launch on PC.

"We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC," the Call of Duty Elite Twitter page said in response to a fan question.

Today Activision backtracked - and promised a release date announcement soon.

"We misspoke," read a Tweet. "Our goal has always been to provide a free PC offering for Elite.

"Stay tuned for an update as timing is still being determined."

Elite is still down for many Modern Warfare 3 players as it struggles to cope with demand. Founder Status players will be prioritised when a good service is resumed.
