Wii U's Rayman Legends officially debuts, is detailed

Five player support with one GamePad and four Wii Remotes.

Ubisoft's given Rayman Legends its debut proper, allowing us one of our first looks at a third-party Wii U game - and showing the multiplayer possibilities of Nintendo's new console.

An on-stage demo at Ubisoft's E3 conference showed the game off, with one player controlling via the Wii U's GamePad while another played with a more traditional controller.

The GamePad allows players to control their character with touch gestures - and also use the touchscreen and motion controls to influence the environment, tilting platforms in order to allow fellow players to progress.

The release version of Rayman Legends will support five players, with a single GamePad working alongside four Wii remotes. Rayman Legends also, for what it's worth, looked absolutely gorgeous.
