Wii U version of Project Cars out in 2015

PC, PS4 and Xbox One out November 2014.

Slightly Mad Studios' racing game Project Cars launches November 2014 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as announced. But the Wii U version won't be released until next year.

There had been some concern about the status of the Wii U version of the game, given the developer has yet to show any gameplay footage. Today publisher Bandai Namco confirmed to Eurogamer that the Wii U version is coming at some point in 2015.

It issued the following statement: "We're committed to delivering an exceptional and unique experience for racing fans on Wii U and for this we kindly ask our devoted and passionate Nintendo fans for a little more time in order to ensure the game delivers on our vision of being the most authentic, beautiful, and technically-advanced racing game on any platform."

The impressive-looking racing game also supports the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset and 4K resolution. Slightly Mad, which has been working on Project Cars since 2011, ditched PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.
