Rockstar Games' forthcoming crime saga L.A. Noire gets two star-studded soundtrack releases, the developer has confirmed.

The official soundtrack includes an original score recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios by Paul Hale, who was also responsible for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World's music.

Woody Jackson, who composed a number of themes for Red Dead Redemption, is also contributing.

On top of that, the soundtrack also features over 30 jazz classics from the likes of Billie Holiday, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Thelonious Monk.

A second release, titled L.A. Noire Remixed is also planned, featuring six remixes of tunes from the main soundtrack by a number of DJs and producers including Dave Sitek, DJ Premier and Truth & Soul.

Both sets are available on iTunes from 17th May, a few days ahead of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game on the 20th May.
