THQ announces uDraw for PS3/360

Wii tablet is a hit, goes multiplatform.

uDraw, the formerly Wii-exclusive tablet peripheral, is heading to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, publisher THQ has announced.

It today revealed that the add-on shipped 1.7 million units in the 2011 fiscal year, justifying expanding the brand onto HD consoles.

"Today, I am pleased to announce that we plan to bring exclusively designed uDraw GameTablets to Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 platforms this holiday," CEO Brian Farrell commented during the publisher's latest earnings report.

uDraw launched on Wii late last year in the US, and in March across Europe. The chunky, family-friendly tablet currently boasts four supported games: uDraw Studio, Pictionary, Dood's Big Adventure and SpongeBob SquigglePants.
