PS3 gets new firmware update

Sony has released a new firmware update for PlayStation 3.

Update 2.42 "improves the playback quality of some PlayStation 3 and PlayStation format software", according to the US PlayStation blog.

We've just checked and it's now available to download for European PS3 consoles too.
