Princess Bride game coming to PC

Fencing, torture, giants, true love...

Cult film The Princess Bride has been entertaining children, parents and hungover people for more than 20 years now, so isn't it about time there was a videogame adaptation?

As you wish, says a company called Worldwide Biggies, announcing plans to bring The Princess Bride Game to PC this summer. You'll get to take on Vizzini in the Battle of the Wits, face the trials of the Fire Swamp, fight the Rodents of Unusual Size and more. Plus you'll get to play as characters such as Buttercup, Westley, Fezzik and my name is Inigo Montoya you killed my father prepare to die.

For those who aren't familiar, The Princess Bride is a classic fairytale adventure with a humorous twist and a Mark Knopfler soundtrack. It was a sort of Shrek for the eighties, and is still the only film in history to star both Fred Savage and Columbo. Inconceivable!

The game will be available for download priced at USD 19.95. But if you head over to the official website now you can save yourself three "bucks" by pre-ordering, and have a look at the trailer too.

And remember - never get involved in a land war in Asia.
