Thief: Deadly Shadows demo released

Deadly or not, we prefer the shade. (Demo available right now via Eurofiles.)

It takes a lot for a 400MB-plus demo to creep anywhere, let alone evade detection, but fittingly it's Garrett the master thief who performed this very feat over the weekend, somehow managing to propagate across the Internet without raising a single alarm. Some might argue that he had the combined might of the Memorial and Bank Holidays on his side, but then planning is nine tenths of any deception, right?

Anyway -- Thief: Deadly Shadows is now available in demo form, and it's certainly monstrously large. At 426MB or thereabouts it's going to take some time to download, but thanks to our BitTorrent-based Eurofiles service you stand equipped with a better opportunity than most others. Click here to get started.

The only other thing you really need to know is that the demo consists of a tutorial and the first full mission from the game - the full version of which is out now on PC and Xbox in the States and due for release in Europe in June. The last date we saw (and that Eidos confirmed) was June 11th, but we've just noticed a few retailers listing it as June 25th.

Expect a full review in the coming weeks.
