Kingdom Hearts 3 gets Critical Mode later today
No taking the Mickey.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will get its new, tougher Critical Mode later today via a free update.
The Disney and Square Enix threequel is the latest in the series to get the option, which typically makes the game more challenging by increasing damage recieved.
This time around, however, fans have been told the standard Critical Mode formula has changed slightly. "We've changed things up from the previous games, so I hope you enjoy," director Tetsuya Nomura teased on Twitter last night.
Greetings, it’s been a while since I last posted. Spring is here, and I hope everyone is doing well. #KingdomHearts III's long-awaited Critical Mode is available as a free update tomorrow (PT).

Chris Schilling had mixed opinions of the standard game in Eurogamer's Kingdom Hearts 3 review, writing that its "overwrought, unsatisfying storytelling takes the shine off a gorgeous and ambitious finale".
