King of Fighters 13 delayed

Now out in November.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 fighting game King of Fighters XIII has been delayed, Atlus USA has announced.

In the US the game launches on 22nd November. In the UK, where it is published by Rising Star Games, the 2D fighter only has a November launch window.

We've asked RSG for a firmer UK release date.

The game had been due out in October.

"While fans will initially be disappointed by the news that The King of Fighters 13 is slightly delayed, the additional time will ensure that the game delivers on its promise of becoming the finest entry in the series' 15+ year history," said Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Atlus.

"KOF fans have tremendous expectations for this title, as do we. Our commitment is to nothing less than the very best The King of Fighters game ever, and all of our efforts and resources are dedicated to assisting developer SNK Playmore to that end."

Pre-order the game in the UK and you'll get a limited edition four CD soundtrack taken from the history of King of Fighters.

This is in addition to the contents of the retail box, which includes the game, a double sided A3 poster (artwork on one side, move list on the reverse), digital art disc and reversible sleeves (design specific to format).
