Katamari Forever demo out in Japan

Time to dust off your 'other' PSN account.

Namco Bandai has released a demo of Katamari Forever on the Japanese PlayStation Store to coincide with the game's launch in the region.

Obviously that means it's in Japanese, and that you can't access it with a European or US PSN account, but it's not particularly difficult to create a Japanese one if you're interested in checking the game out.

The PS3-exclusive Katamari Forever is due out in Europe this September, and is another attempt to wring some fun out of Keita Takahashi's classic PS2 concept of growing a ball by rolling it over objects which then stick to it.

You can read our recent Katamari Forever hands-on preview to find out how it relates to the others in the series, or indeed what it's all about in general if you're a newcomer.
