The third and final chapter of Dark Souls 2's Lost Crowns DLC is released today for Xbox 360 and PC gamers, although PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait until tomorrow before they can get their hands on the concluding content for the game.
Dark Souls 2 wasn't exactly small to begin with, but judging by the two pieces of downloadable content released so far, it's going to be absolutely enormous by the time From Software finally stops adding to it. The latest instalment of DLC, Crown of the Old Iron King, is extensive.
If you've already managed to somehow fight your way past even the most unpleasant opponents in Dark Souls 2, you'll be pleased to know that the first bit of DLC content is available now. Titled Crown of the Sunken King, it's the first of three new drops in the The Lost Crowns trilogy of content, with the remaining two instalments scheduled to be released in August and September.
The hugely anticipated sequel to 2011's Dark Souls is finally out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and a PC version is just a few weeks away from launch. While it may be a case of more of the same for this new journey through hell, that's no small accomplishment when you consider what a tough act it had to follow. Put it this way: if you're hungry for more of the same, rest assured that your appetite will be well and truly satiated by this sequel.
