Elden Ring for the Xbox, PS4, PS5 and PC is the latest action RPG from developer FromSoftware.
This game sees you traverse the Lands Between, which lie in ruins after the destruction of the titular Elden Ring. As a descendant of the Tarnished - exiles from the Lands Between - you must now defeat those who hold the remnants of the Ring.
Below you'll find the Elden Ring release times for XBox, PS4, PS5 and PS5, along with the download size so you can be prepared for the game's launch.

The expectation to the above is, of course, if you've ordered a physical copy of the game, which leaves you at the mercy of your chosen postal service.
Once you have settled on a starting class and starting Keepsake item, you should first work out how to level up, how to respec and use Ashes of War. Need some direction from there? Our Elden Ring walkthrough and Elden Ring boss order can help with where to go next, but we also recommend hunting down Golden Seeds, Sacred Tears, Crystal Tears, Talismans and some of our best weapon and best armor choices. If you are approaching the end game, we can help with the Volcano Manor quest and Rykard, Haligtree Secret Medallion locations, solving the Ordina, Liturgical Town puzzle, the Millicent quest, Commander Niall, Morgott, Godskin Duo, Maliketh and Malenia.
Elden Ring preloading time and download size
If you're playing the digital edition of Elden Ring, then it's an excellent idea to preload the game in preparation for its launch.
Preloading Elden Ring will be available 48 hours prior to the launch time for your chosen platform in the region where you live. Before preloading Elden Ring, however, you need to ensure there's enough room for the game on your console or PC.
Thanks to PlaystationSize on Twitter, we know that the approximate file size for the PS5 preload is 44.928 GB and, for the PS4, between 40 to 45 GB.
While we don't know the true file size for PC, the Elden Ring Steam page does say you should have 60 GB available for the game.
For Xbox, the preload size is 49 GB.
Remember, no matter which platform you're playing on, the file size will grow as patches are added to Elden Ring.
Good luck in the Lands Between!
