Elden Ring Bloodhound's Fang location

The best dexterity melee weapon in Elden Ring.

The Bloodhound's Fang - a curved greatsword - is the best dexterity melee weapon you can find in Elden Ring.

While it requires both Strength and Dexterity stats, when it comes to high Dexterity scaling, the Bloodhound's Fang is the best weapon to choose.

Better yet, it's a weapon that can be found near the start of the game in Limgrave, although you'll need to overcome a pretty tough boss fight to get it.

Looking for some direction? Our what to do first in Elden Ring, Elden Ring walkthrough, Site of Grace locations and main bosses in order pages can help.

Bloodhound's Fang location in Elden Ring explained

To find the Bloodhound's Fang location, start from Agheel Lake South's Site of Grace and follow a path that takes you to Forlorn Hound Evergaol.

Evergaols similar to this one can be found around the world, which drops you into an arena against a tough mini-boss - in this case, Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. He's also wielding the weapon you're after, so think of it as an introduction to the cool things you can do with it being used against you.

The Bloodhound's Fang has stat requirements of 18 Strength and 17 Dexterity, meaning you'll need to have levelled up beyond your starting class's stats before you can wield it.

But once you can, its unique skill, Bloodhound's Finesse, is one of the best - you attack upwards, but the momentum has you doing an acrobatic backflip away from your foe. That attack alone inflicts as much, if not more, than a charged attack, which can majorly impact an enemy's poise.

Once you have settled on a starting class and starting Keepsake item, you should first work out how to level up, how to respec and use Ashes of War. Need some direction from there? Our Elden Ring walkthrough and Elden Ring boss order can help with where to go next, but we also recommend hunting down Golden Seeds, Sacred Tears, Crystal Tears, Talismans and some of our best weapon and best armor choices. If you are approaching the end game, we can help with the Volcano Manor quest and Rykard, Haligtree Secret Medallion locations, solving the Ordina, Liturgical Town puzzle, the Millicent quest, Commander Niall, Morgott, Godskin Duo, Maliketh and Malenia.

Better still, this can be followed up with a strong attack called Bloodhound's Step, as you charge in with a devastating thrust that warps through an enemy's attack.

Good luck defeating Bloodhound Knight Darriwil!
