Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen due for PC in January

Supports 4K resolution, 60fps. System requirements revealed.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, the expanded version of Capcom's action-RPG, is heading to PC on 15th January.

Dragon's Dogma was originally released in 2012, though its Dark Arisen expansion - which required repurchasing the full game with the added content - followed in April 2013.

This PC port may be three years late, but it makes up for the delay by boasting 4k resolution and 60 frames-per-second. Actually, the framerate is uncapped so a suped-up rig could go beyond that.

It also boasts some new features like nine new Achievements and the option to mute support Pawn chatter during traversal.

Priced at £ 24.99 / €29.99 / $29.99, pre-orders come with a digital art book and soundtrack.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen's PC system requirements are as follows:

Minimum Specs:

  • OS: Windows Vista or newer
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-660 CPU or equivalent
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Radeon HD 5870 or equivalent
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Storage: 22 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX-compatible sound card or onboard audio chip

Recommended Specs:

  • OS: Windows Vista or newer
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K or equivalent
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or equivalent
  • DirectX: Version 9.0c
  • Storage: 22 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX-compatible sound card or onboard audio chip

Eurogamer contributor Simon Parkin recommended Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen back in the day. "Dark Arisen is indisputably in Dark Souls' thrall. But this tribute is both thoughtful and creative, building upon Miyazaki's work with some individuality rather than merely mimicking its - arguably unrepeatable - wonders," he wrote in his Dark Arisen review.
