Don't expect to see Skate at this year's EA Play

But "a little something" is arriving tomorrow.

EA is continuing to manage expectations for this year's EA Play Live, confirming that the next Skate game will not be making an appearance during the show.

As explained in a tweet from the official Skate account, new studio Full Circle was only formed back in January, and as such the team is not quite ready to show the game. "It's still early and we are committed to doing this thing right which means it's gonna take some time," the statement said.

It's not all doom and gloom, however: the statement said the team is "stoked to share a little something with you all tomorrow", so it seems we'll be getting some form of Skate news this week after all. Perhaps we'll finally get a name, or even a teeny tiny teaser.

It seems EA is making an effort to be transparent about what fans can expect to see (or rather, expect not to see) at this year's EA Play. So far we also know that Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Star Wars games won't be making an appearance - which I guess sure gives a lot of time for Apex Legends news. Oh, and probably some more Battlefield 2042. The 40 minute show takes place at 6pm this Thursday, and as usual, we'll be reporting the event live.
