UPDATE 05/08/2015 7.15pm: Bandai Namco has released the following eight beautiful screenshots for Dark Souls 3. Have it it!

ORIGINAL STORY 04/08/2015 4pm: From Software's highly anticipated grim action-RPG sequel Dark Souls 3 has received its first gameplay trailer at Microsoft's Gamescom 2015 press conference.

Showing off a bevy of gruesome bosses and spooky locales, it looks like the Souls series we all know and love with a healthy dose of From's more recent Bloodborne tossed into the mix.

The action looks a little faster than we've seen in past Souls titles, but still quite similar to earlier games. Director of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne, Hidetaka Miyazaki, is back at the helm of this one after he largely sat Dark Souls 2 out.
