Alien Isolation's cutscenes are now an official digital series
There is an explanation for this, you know. Here's an odd one: Alien: Isolation's cutscenes are now an official digital series.
20th Century fox has taken the cutscnes from Creative Assembly's superb 2014 stealth horror game, added to them and packaged them into a seven episode digital series that kicks off today on IGN.
Spliced together are cinematics taken from the game, first-person scenes from the game that were re-shot and edited for the series, and new scenes.
"The goal was to offer new depth to a story that many gamers would have already experienced in 2014's release, and also tell the story in a newly accessible way for those who haven't," reads IGN's press release.
Alien: Isolation star Amanda Ripley is enjoying something of a revival, with Fox using the character for mobile game Alien: Blackout and now this digital series.
Unfortunately, there's no new Alien: Isolation game in development, though.
