Adam Jensen voice actor portraying Far Cry Primal's lead character

He's spearheading the campaign.

Far Cry Primal's main character will be voiced by Elias Toufexis, the actor behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution's gravelly protagonist Adam Jensen.

Ubisoft hasn't said which language Takkar will speak. We're guessing English, though.

Toufexis will play Takkar, a hunter whose tribe is under threat from rival human groups and the various angry beasties of Primal's Stone Age period.

Ubisoft officially unveiled Far Cry Primal yesterday evening. The open world survival game will be set in 10,000 BC and offer the chance to go bow to hoof with woolly mammoths, sabretooth tigers and a creature that looks like a really angry rhino.

"Yeah. I play the lead character in this bad boy," Toufexis revealed via his Twitter account.

The actor has regularly lent his voice to other Ubisoft games, including small parts in many of the Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy titles.

He played Ezio's brother Federico in AC2 and Brotherhood, for example, but is best known for his portrayal of Deus Ex protagonist Adam Jensen - a role he will reprise for the upcoming Mankind Divided.

Far Cry Primal is due to launch in February 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, then in March for PC.
