Xbox Summer Spotlight promotion offers money back on select game purchases

Gift cards and reward points all up for grabs.

Microsoft has launched a new Summer Spotlight promotion, which will give you money back and rewards for purchasing select Xbox One games.

Each week, new Xbox One games and ID@Xbox releases will be put centre stage in the Summer Spotlight. Spend £40 on any of these featured games you'll get a £4 gift card added to your account. If you're an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, that'll be doubled to £8.

Meanwhile, for anyone on the Microsoft Rewards program, you'll also get 5,000 Microsoft Rewards points when you spend £40 on titles featured in the Summer Spotlight sale. You'll just have to pop into the Microsoft Rewards app on your console to claim them.

In this week's selection, you'll find Hi-Rez's multiplayer shooter Rogue Company, all cute Pokémon / Harvest Moon hybrid Ooblets and the Superhot: Mind Control Delete DLC. Those are just a few of the featured games, so do check out the Summer Spotlight store page for the full list.

This Summer Spotlight promotion is just one of the many things Microsoft has cooking this week. There's also its Summer Game Fest, which will feature over 60 brand-new Xbox One game demos for you to try between 21st - 27th July.

You can also have a peek at this week's Games with Gold sale, which includes the Batman Arkham series, Shadow of War and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Then, on Thursday 23rd July, we'll get a closer look at some Xbox Series X games in a new Xbox Games Showcase. New world premieres are promised, including a first look at campaign gameplay from Halo Infinite. You'll be able to join us live as we watch the event from 5pm UK time.
